Lube Technician

Full-time Position with Benefits

Mendenhall Auto Center is looking to fill a full-time Lube Technician position.

  • Perform light maintenance and repairs which include lube, oil, and filter changes, balancing and rotation of tires, and flushing cooling systems
  • Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with the dealership and factory standards
  • Inspects vehicle fluid levels, replenishes as necessary
  • Check tire pressure and add air if necessary
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
  • Communicate with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
  • Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order
  • Road test vehicles
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events
  • Keep shop area neat and clean

Service Advisor

Automotive Service Advisors greet customers, listen to their description of the problems or service needed, determine the type of service required, and prepare repair orders. If a vehicle requires additional repairs not covered in the original order, they estimate the additional cost and telephone the customer for permission to do the work. They also advise customers on other available services.

ASE Certified Automotive Technician

Mendenhall Auto Center is looking to fill a full-time Automotive Technician position.

  • Perform work specified on the maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership's and Chrysler / Subaru / Chevrolet / Honda / Toyota standards
  • Identify all necessary repairs to the vehicle's automotive systems (such as engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.) and communicate them to the service advisor so that he/she can recommend it to the customer
  • Provide labor and time estimates for the additional automotive repairs
  • Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to the service advisors
  • Inspect and test new and used vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made
  • Maintain work area clean, organized, and clutter free
  • Continuously learn new technical information in formal training sessions and stay in compliance with the training and certification requirements
  • Certification for one of the following: Chevrolet, Chrysler, Honda, Toyota, Subaru
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications
  • Valid driver's license
  • Good driving record
